Download a copy of Endnote for your personal devices (Windows or Macs) from the university’s Software Download Service.
Please ensure you open and read the installation guide for your operating system.
There are separate downloads for Windows and Macs. Please ensure you read and follow the relevant Installation Guide.
If you are having difficulties installing the software, please check the compatibility of your device on the Endnote Website.
When creating a new library you will need to save your files.
An EndNote library consists of two folders with the same name, but different extensions:
Endnote does not recommend the use of cloud storage (eg iCloud, Dropbox) for Endnote libraries as these corrupt easily.
Save your library on your university H: Drive (or V:drive for PhD students or researchers) to allow for ready off campus access to your data. It is important to check that you have enough free space on these drives for your Endnote library – adding PDFs to your Endnote library will result in very large file sizes.
