NVivo is a data analysis programme that handles qualitative, non-numerical, or unstructured data such as text (rich and plain), audio files, spread sheets, databases, digital photos, documents, PDFs, bibliographical data, web pages and social media data. NVivo was originally developed for the social sciences, but is popular in other disciplines such as business, and health. Data in NVivo is interchangable with other programmes and platforms such as SPSS, EndNote, Zotero, Refworks, SurveyMonkey, spreadsheets, word documents, and more.
Nvivo can be installed on staff and student machines by visiting AppsAnywhere, and on personal devices through the Software Download Service.
