Library Services for SACI Researchers

You will find more detailed information on using some of these services on the library's general Research webpages as well, for example a suite of LibGuides aimed at researchers.

We run occasional events aimed specifically at researchers.

As well as the tools in these pages, the Library offers a range of services to researchers, for example:

Literature searching help via LibrarySearch and other databases

Access to numerous subject databases via LibrarySearch 

Facilitating access to other libraries

Advice on current awareness services

Help with discovering other researchers and accessing theses.

Advice on sharing tooks, e.g Mendeley / Academic.edu / ResearchGate

Help in using referencing tools, such as Endnote and Zotero, and appropriate style guides

Advice on copyright and Creative Commons and templates for requesting permissions

Advice on research data

Advice on where to publish your paper, e.g. identifying high impact journals using Bibliometrics

Sage Research Methods   

Edinburgh Napier Research Repository - help with depositing your research outputs

Open Access Blog 

 

If you need books or articles beyond the scope of these services, you are welcome to get in touch with me to discuss further options.  We may be able to purchase some materials, or order items via interlibrary loan as necessary. 

We may be able to collaborate with you on impact events if appropriate
